Gretchen Scott is originally from upstate New York and has had about 100 different careers ranging from redoing houses to running a market research department.   She has traveled though out the world looking and hoping always to see - really see.   She is convinced that is what makes for great design - knowledge of what exists along with a wide open view of it- coupled with the ability to interpret it cleverly.

She lives in Bronxville, New York with her enchanting, debonair man (and webmaster), her fabulous 17 year old daughter (she says motherhood is the coolest thing-by far - that she has ever done), a cat, 2 Scotties, a yellow lab and many birds. She loves zoos so she created a tiny one for herself.
